Runners and walkers joined from all around the world in the Calgary Marathon – to race for trees for India. The virtual marathon sped through all of September and the in person race was September 19, racing through the streets of Calgary. In all 594 sponsors supported 153 walkers and runners in 21 different countries worldwide. A total of $53,757 was raised to buy trees for the massive reforestation program in India which aims to plant five million trees to restore several ancient tropical forests.
